 What is design?

 When we design something, there are two viewpoints, one is needs orientated way and another is seeds orientated way. It’s not important which is better. Designing goes along “Aufheben” of these two ways.

 By the way, there was a forum concerning design. One designer there said;

 "Design is to build a good relation between things, between persons, and between things and persons.”

 Someone replied; “It’s a commonplace and meaning of the words is vague.” But I thought it is the words which would become the keynote of this world, if individuals would take it seriously and have it as a philosophy. That isn't only to have a good relation, but to change each other by competing and to coevolute each other while coexisting together. I think nature is designed just like that.

 But it’s hard to recognize and comprehend. This meaning of design is not popular now. I think the person who work for the design now is rarely conscious of this value that Design becomes the basis of the world.

  Now, the human world seems to be leaded only "Economy (Money)". Economy is also important. But don’t you think it’s unbalanced? What is needed to be balanced? If we would not be able to do it any more, I think it's valuable that let the children now and in the future know the importance of this value of design.
